Magnifying the Future of Personal Connected Health
By: Janna Guinen, Program Director, HIMSS Personal Connected Health Alliance
As the Personal Connected Health Alliance team puts the finishing touches on the Innovation Leaders Program, taking place at HIMSS18, what stands out are the rich relationships we have with thought leaders, members and partners driving the future of connected care. For months leading up to our events, the PCHAlliance team engages with pioneers and visionaries in the field to bring you the most compelling, actionable and up-to-date content and perspectives, and enjoys a front seat to the magic that happens when innovators have an opportunity to meet and discuss their work.
In just a few days we’ll unveil the Innovation Leaders Program and witness the final step in the collaborative effort that is program development: the interaction of attendees and speakers that sparks new ideas, collaborations and initiatives.
This year’s program explores many different vantage points on connected health and the ways it has permeated care delivery, work and daily life, from prevention to treatment. Core to the program are case studies from health systems looking at cultural, financial and clinical outcomes from programs leveraging connected health solutions as well a case study presentation from a family practice that’s using a connected platform to manage its diabetes population. We’ll also address topics such as behavioral health and design, how connected health is faring in the workplace and approaches for strengthening the innovation economy in connected health. We’ve also brought newsmakers to the agenda to share their perspectives on headline-making changes in the field.
Each speaker has been invited to share evidence a prediction about the future of connected health in their organizations or at large. Our objective is written into the theme: Magnifying the Future of Personal Connected Health through the Lens of Evidence.
